Incorporated in 1956 as a licensed finance company registered under the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, today Alliance Finance Company PLC (AFC) is the oldest finance company in Sri Lanka. Over the years we have built a solid brand, based on the principles of trust and integrity . For more than six decades, AFC has been serving four generations of loyal Sri Lankans, providing financial services to meet their expectations.

The financial solutions we offer include leasing, gold loans, term loans, gold investment solutions, savings and deposits. We also carry out vehicle trade-in services and Ezy drive vehicle hiring services as well, under our Commercial Division. With a network of 86+ customer touch points across the island we are well equipped to reach out to serve our customers, individuals, micro-entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises in Sri Lanka.

On our journey to become a sustainable financial institution in Sri Lanka, we have taken our first impactful step in 2017, by becoming the 1st Institution in the Banking and Finance sector of Sri Lanka to commit to the Karlsruhe Resolution, thereby agreeing to work towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Climate Agreement. Over a decade our company has undertaken many initiatives in the sustainability front and integrated the essence of sustainability to the core of our business.

Receiving international endorsement for our unwavering commitment towards sustainability, in 2020 we became the first financial institution in South Asia to be a certified value driven financial institution for Holistic Sustainability in Banking and Finance, under Sustainability Standards and Certification Initiative of International Council of Sustainability Standards for Value-Driven Financial Institutions, Germany. Our subsidiary, Alfinco Insurance Brokers evaluates and manages insurance portfolios for clients, from points of policy selection to renewal and making claims; thus unburdening clients to concentrate on their core business. Our services, as an independent professional service provider, include negotiating with all leading Insurance providers in the country, for both Life and General Insurance categories to obtain the best terms and conditions in the market, advising clients to minimise their risks and all other aspects of insurance.

MACBERTAN (PVT) LTD

Established in 1997, the Group’s associate company Macbertan (Pvt) Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of insulation solutions and flexible packaging. The Company pioneered the manufacture of expanded polyethylene and bubble sheets in Sri Lanka and is a joint venture between Alliance Finance, and McLarens Holdings Limited, two leaders in their respective industries.
